EWF is pleased to announce its participation in the XVIII S2P Conference, which will take place from 27 to 29 April 2026 in Essaouira, Morocco. Recognised as a key meeting point for researchers, technology developers and industrial stakeholders, the event brings together experts in semi-solid processing, structural die casting, alloy development, GIGA casting and advanced manufacturing to exchange knowledge, discuss industrial challenges and explore the latest technological developments shaping the sector.

At this year’s edition, EWF will highlight its contributions through two Horizon Europe projects: DILAPRO and FLASH. Both initiatives reflect a common ambition to support more flexible, digital and sustainable manufacturing systems, while accelerating the industrial uptake of advanced laser-based technologies.

DILAPRO will be presented as a project supporting the digital transformation of laser production. The initiative is developing innovative digital solutions for the laser-based manufacturing of complex components, with a strong focus on process optimisation, digitalisation and certification. As part of the conference programme, DILAPRO will also be featured in a workshop, designed to encourage discussion around industrial needs, technology uptake and future opportunities in smart laser processing. Particular attention will be given to DILAFACT, one of the project’s core developments, creating space for exchange around digital twins, process intelligence and more efficient production environments.

Alongside DILAPRO, FLASH will also be showcased as part of EWF’s presence at S2P. The project is advancing a highly customisable and energy-efficient laser-based manufacturing platform built on precision photon distribution. By addressing applications such as cutting, drilling, welding, cladding and micro-machining, FLASH contributes to the development of flexible manufacturing solutions capable of responding to evolving industrial demands.

Through its participation in S2P Conference 2026, EWF reaffirms its commitment to strengthen collaboration between research and industry, supporting innovation pathways that respond to real manufacturing challenges and future skills needs.
