EWF General Assembly Spring Meetings Advance Discussion on System
Harmonisation
The recent EWF General Assembly Spring Meetings brought members
together to address strategic aspects related to the harmonisation of EWF
systems, with particular attention to the development of the organisation’s
Qualification and Certification frameworks.
On 21 April, the International Joining Qualification and
Certification Council (IJQCC), the EWF body responsible for the development
of the EWF Qualification and Certification Systems, held an online
session focused on the definition of harmonised access conditions to be
implemented across the different EWF Qualification Systems. The meeting was
attended by more than 40 participants and marked the first step in the
discussion leading up to the workshop held on 28 April in Istanbul, as part of
the second session of the Spring Meetings.
The meetings in Istanbul were highly productive and centred on key
strategic issues related to the harmonisation of the system. Members
contributed with important ideas that will now be addressed by the relevant Technical
Working Groups, while action lines were identified and objectives will
continue to be shaped in view of the next meetings in the autumn.
During the session of the General Assembly, several ongoing projects involving
EWF were also presented, including R3-MYDAS, FLASH, DILAPRO, AID4SME, CYRUS and COVE-EXSEE.
This moment helped bring additional visibility to initiatives connected to
innovation, skills, and industrial development across the EWF network.
EWF thanks Gedik for hosting the meetings in Turkey and acknowledges the
active contribution of all members to this ongoing work, which remains central
to the future development of the EWF Systems.
