Dear Members of the EWF / IIW community,

it is with the deepest sadness that we are announcing the passing of the IIW President, David Landon.

His death happened unexpectedly while in performance of his duties.

During his Presidency at IIW he faced difficult times due to the changes in the working and international environment as effected by the pandemic.
Nevertheless, his wisdom, clear vision and addiction to work, welding business and the IIW, let him guide the organisation into safe waters, never losing the route of serving all members and the community as best and in the sense of equity.

The EWF cries the loss of David Landon.

The IIW will hold a commemorative ceremony online, on 14 December at 14:00 to 14:30 CET.
