The 2nd Additive Manufacturing Conference took place between the 6th and 7th of February in the center of Baviera, Munich, Germany. During these days the main topic addressed was the implementation of industrial 3D printing with standards and digital solutions.

On the last day of the event, EWF’s Deputy Director Eurico Assunção had a participation in the session on personnel qualifications, where he presented EWF's Additive Manufacturing Qualifications System and the European Strategy for the sector (SAM project) lead by EWF.

SAM is a European project that is creating skills strategy in Additive Manufacturing to provide solutions to support the growth and innovation in this sector.

At the end of the conference, that consensus is that the AM industry is headed to a Standardization and digitization as the gateways to a fully automated additive manufacturing system in years to come.
