The 4th AM Qualifications Workshop, hosted by EWF, took place on the 28th and 29th of October 2019 in Porto Salvo (Portugal), counting with the participation of 13 representatives from Industrial Organisations, Research Centers and Universities, as well as other experts in Additive Manufacturing.

The event was an opportunity to gather all these professionals around EWF’s AM Qualifications, focusing on the Metal AM Designer (to validate its structure for DED and PBF Processes and discuss possible Case Studies to be used for evaluation) and the Metal AM Supervisor.

This event also had a World Cafe, carried out in the scope of the SAM project, where all participants had the opportunity to network and discuss how AM will be implemented in the next 5 years in terms of Sectors, Materials and Processes at a European level. 

This was a fruitful activity, providing concrete results that allowed us to become aware of the urgency to develop specific Competence Units for materials and processes. Click to watch the video here.
