EWF to bring six European projects to Manufacturing Partnership Days 2026

EWF will participate in Manufacturing
Partnership Days 2026, taking place on 17 and 18 November at Silo Brussels,
Belgium, with six European projects: BUTTERFLIES, R3-MYDAS, EMPowerMet, RESTORE, AIRISE and AID4SME. Their
participation will contribute to discussions on circular manufacturing,
industrial innovation and the adoption of artificial intelligence.
Organised by the European Factories of the Future
Research Association (EFFRA), the fourth edition of the event will bring together
industry representatives, researchers, policymakers and project teams from
across Europe. Combining conference sessions, project presentations and an
exhibition area, it will provide opportunities to exchange knowledge,
discover developments from Made in Europe projects and build connections across
the manufacturing research and innovation community.
The programme will address the challenges shaping
European manufacturing, from circularity and industrial competitiveness to
digitalisation, artificial intelligence and the uptake of research results.
Skills and talent development will also feature in the discussions, connecting
technological change with the people and capabilities needed to put it into
practice.
On 17 November, EMPowerMet will feature in the morning
“Projects in Focus” session, scheduled for 11:20-12:00. RESTORE will follow in the 12:00-12:50
session, with contributions from João Bento and Klaus Wolf.
In the afternoon, R3-MYDAS and BUTTERFLIES will both feature in the session
running from 15:30 to 16:10. Thanasis Poulakidas will present “Innovation in
Remanufacturing with R3-MYDAS”, bringing the project’s work into the day’s
discussions on circular manufacturing. Tian Long See will deliver the BUTTERFLIES presentation,
entitled “Metamorphosis of BUTTERFLIES”.
On 18 November, AIRISE will host the fireside chat “Bringing AI from labs
to shopfloor”, scheduled for 13:00-13:25, addressing the transition from
AI research to industrial application. The programme also includes a
dedicated AIRISE session from
14:00 to 16:00, offering a further opportunity to engage with the project.
AID4SME will participate in the
afternoon “Projects in Focus” session, taking place from 14:55 to 15:55, with a
presentation by Matteo Kirchner.
For EWF, the event will be an opportunity to share the
work developed through these European collaborations, exchange perspectives on
industrial needs and explore opportunities for cooperation.
EWF invites participants to meet its team in Brussels
and learn more about the six projects. Alongside the conference programme, the
exhibition area will provide further opportunities to connect with project
representatives and continue the discussions.
