Between 5th and 7th 2019 June will take place in Metz, France, the 2nd edition of the International Congress on Welding, Additive Manufacturing and associated Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).

The three main topics of the congress will be addressed on both metal and composite materials, to foster innovation and synergies between academy and industry, among students, scientists, specialists, engineers and representatives.

How will parts be manufactured in 2030? How will technologies reinvent existing fabrication and monitor processes? How will this affect manufacturing, parts design and lifecycle assessment? All these questions will be discussed during ICWAM 2019, organised by Institut de Soudure, a member of the European Welding Federation. 

The conference will have thematic sessions on the following specific or emerging topics:

• Fabrication strategies for metals, composite materials and multimaterials

• Processing, from modelling to final parts

• Training and Education

• Non-Destructive Testing and Process Monitoring

• Monitoring of manufacturing defects

• Materials and Characterization
