Free Cybersecurity Training Now Available Through the CYRUS Project

The CYRUS Project has opened registrations for a new Introduction to Cybersecurity training course, designed to support professionals in enhancing their digital security awareness and practices. As industries continue to digitalise, cybersecurity has become a fundamental requirement for operational safety, data protection, and business continuity.  

This free training, delivered in an instructor-led online format, will take place on:

    • Date: 19 January 2026
    • Time: 17:00–20:00 (CET)
    • Language: English
    • Cost: Free of charge

The course is particularly relevant for professionals with beginner-level IT skills who manage or interact with company networks, data, and digital devices. It is especially beneficial for actors in the railway sector, manufacturing industries, and SMEs, where cyber-attacks have increased significantly in recent years.

Participants will gain insights into key topics such as:

  • Core cybersecurity concepts

  • Password management and best practices

  • Ransomware and phishing threats

  • Social engineering techniques

  • How to identify suspicious emails and cyber fraud attempts

This training initiative forms part of the CYRUS Project’s broader mission to build cyber-resilience across European industrial sectors through tailored education and skills development.
