Empowering the Next Generation of Welding Professionals: IIW Announces the 3rd Young Professionals International Conference (YPIC 2026)

As part of EWF’s ongoing commitment to promoting excellence in education, qualification, and innovation within the manufacturing industry, we are delighted to share an important initiative from our long-standing partner, the International Institute of Welding (IIW).

The 3rd Young Professionals International Conference (YPIC 2026) will be held online on 5–6 February 2026, providing a unique opportunity for young professionals, researchers, and students up to 35 years old to connect, collaborate, and showcase their work in the field of welding and related technologies.

Inspiring Future Leaders in Welding and Joining

This event represents a key opportunity to attract and engage new talents who will shape the future of the global welding community and continue IIW’s and EWF’s shared mission of fostering technical excellence and innovation.

By encouraging participation in YPIC 2026, we help ensure the long-term vitality of our community, supporting young professionals as they develop the skills, confidence, and international networks essential to advance the sector.

All registered participants — whether presenting or attending — will receive an official Certificate of Participation from IIW.

Recognition and Awards:

Outstanding contributions will be invited to present at the IIW Annual Assembly and considered for the YPIC Award, to be presented in July 2026 in Salzburg, Austria.
