PROJECTS  .  GENERAL INFORMATION

The EWF, in close cooperation with its members, has been involved in EU funded projects ever since its creation. Acting as representative of the European welding community in general, it supports the exchange of scientific and technical information and contributes to the removal of technical barriers between welding institutions from different countries. Project topics range from Health and Safety aspects, Ergonomics, Technological development and Innovation, innovation in training materials and methodologies, among others. Although mostly involved in projects funded by the 7th Framework Programme and the Lifelong Learning Programme, there are numerous funding programmes being managed across Europe and EWF is always looking for new and interesting opportunities for international cooperation that can benefit EWF members and the European welding community in general.
