The WELDICTION is a Multimedia Dictionary that was developed aiming to harmonise welding specific terms definitions and/or descriptions covering the most relevant and commonly used welding related terms.

The WELDICTION Multimedia Dictionary was developed with the intention of providing a support for vocational training courses, as well as a consultancy tool, in welding areas. Another goal was also to help companies and professionals in the welding field to develop linguistic skills, so they have better understanding and use of materials developed in other languages.
The WELDICTION Multimedia Dictionary contains nearly 150 terms grouped in 6 modules: Processes, Equipment, Consumables, Techniques, Materials and Other. Each term has a brief definition and/or description supported by pictures or movie sequences, designed to have a simple interface and a "user-friendly" navigation. The translation of a term and its definition and/or description is available by simply clicking in the language national flag, which are English, French, German, Hungarian, Polish, Portuguese and Spanish.
