EUROWELD PROJECT - European Certification of Welding Personnel
The EUROWELD project started in 01/12/2002 and ended in 30/11/2004. The partnership was constituted by 17 partners and addressed the realities of 6 European countries with the common aim of developing an Harmonised Certification System for welding personnel (Engineers, Technologists, Specialists and Practitioners).
The project originated the following results and outcomes:
» Definition of the harmonised Certification System to be implemented at a European level, as result of the cooperation between the project partners (Doc.:
Certification System for European Welding Engineers, Technologists, Specialists and Practitioners).
» Definition of the harmonised curriculum's to each category of welding personnel, through the evaluation of the thematic areas, subjects and lecture hours
of the training courses (Docs.: 'Certified European Welding Practitioner, Technologist, Specialist and Engineer').
» Database of the theoretical questions and answers (1800 questions and 7200 answers) to be considered at the Examination system, dully translated in
the 6 European Languages (English, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Flemish and Hungarian).
» A system of database management available for registered users allowing the generation of examination exams.
» Implementation of the Harmonised Certification System, through the performance of pilot exams in the countries represented by the partnership. |
