SMWELD - Fostering employability through learning innovation

SMWELD - Fostering employability through learning innovation SMWELD project aims to foster employability and enhacing entrepreneurship by promoting a novel education and training model for a strong partnership between universities and industry. Main focus of the project goes into the creation of a common European recognized Education, Training and Certification system for Partnership Countries as Tunisia and Algeria.

The purpose is to bring universities, entreprises and society close to join the efforts to foster employability through learning innovation, specialization, training and qualification. In addition, to enhance the entrepreneurship through the creation of welding and joining consultancy, welding trainers and welding audit firms. Therefore, the necesity of vocational educational training is highlighted as an important aspect in nowadays economical development.

On 26th and 28th of October the consortium of SMWELD project gathered in a working meeting organised by
UFMC- Université des Frères Mentouri, in Constantine, Algeria.

During this second meeting, each partner presented their work and exchanged ideas regarding the work progress by so far. This was also an opportunity to discuss the upcoming tasks and strategies for the next months. The project status is positive, as it is progressing as planned and has a great commitment from all partners.
