 Health, Safety and Environmental Training Curriculum for Joining Technologies

Industry's fast growth push the industrial organizations, the stakeholders and the vocational education providers to keep the rapid pace of tehnological changes. To have a full benefit from the potential of welding and joining industry is necessary to improve, develop and adapt the workforce' skills.

EWF, as the pioneering organization, which developed the only Qualification, Certification and Training System for welding industry, keeps improving it and adjusting it to the market needs. Therefore, EWF is partner in the HSE Joining project, an Erasmus+ project, intends to help solve this identified need by developing a curriculum for training in joining, adjusted to the market (employment) needs and requirements, allowing a perfect match between the market demand and the job seek. As it will also be based on a Learning Outcomes approach, it will allow greater transparency in the recognition of prior learnings, allowing a more well prepared mobility for welders.

The kick-off meeting of HSE-Joining - Health, Safety and Environmental Training Curriculum for Joining Technologies project took place in Brussels, during 12th and 13th of December, by Coordination Partner, Vervolmakingscentrum voor lassers (Belgium).

The consortium disscused about the objective, the activities plan and the technical details related with the qualifications and occupational standards that are approached in the project.

The consortium is formed by: Vervolmakingscentrum voor lassers (Belgium), Instituto de Soldadura e Qualidade (Portugal) Istituto Italiano della Saldatura Ente Morale (Italy), Institutul National de Cercetare Dezvoltare in Sudura si Incercari de Materiale Timisoara (Romania),  ISQ e-learning, SA (Portugal) and European Federation for Welding, Joining and Cutting (Belgium).
