Chris was officially announced as the president elect of EWF at its general assembly meeting in Ghent on 25 May.In his role as chief executive of TWI Certification Ltd, Chris leads the delivery of the EWF diplomas and the EWF Manufacturer Certification Scheme to industry in the UK

 

Following the announcement, Chris said: ‘I am honoured to have been nominated for this role, and truly humbled that my friends and colleagues across Europe have such confidence in me. I am really looking forward to my term of office as president and to contributing more to the development of EWF and its unparalleled support to industry.’

 

Chris, who is also the associate director for professional affairs at The Welding Institute, has a keen interest in creating development pathways for welding, joining and materials integrity professionals. Through his presidency he will encourage the EWF network to increase the availability of internationally recognised products and services that satisfy industry requirements, support employment and enable career progression.
