In a competitive world where quality, efficiency and safety are regarded as essential requirements for any successful business, having an up-to-date knowledge of standards and standardization is necessary for all activities, and welding is no exception. 
Companies and organizations must therefore ensure that their managers and employees understand the importance of standards and acquire practical knowledge of how to access and apply standards that are relevant to their respective roles and responsibilities.

On April 19-20. 2017 the International Conference “Welding: Standardization and Conformity Assessment” will be held at the Golden Ring Hotel (5, Smolenskaya str., Moscow).

The Conference is a great opportunity to draw together technical directors of machine factories, heads of quality and standardization departments, chief welders as well as suppliers of welding equipment to machinery industry, construction industry, oil and gas and energy industry, transportation industry, metal industries.

The main topics of the conference are:
- Current situation in Russia with standardization and certification in welding;

- Best practice in education, qualification and certification of welding personnel;
- Best practice in certification of welding manufactures;
- Support of the Russian and foreign manufactures of welding equipment and consumable.

The Conference is organized by the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), Committee on Technical Regulation, Standardization and Conformity Assessment, and the Russian Welding Society (RWS).

The event is supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, by the Federal Agency on Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart), as well as the Association of National Alliances of Builders and the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM. The OJSC Russian Railways, together with the large public associations and Russian companies expressed already their support for this international conference.
