WELDICTION-TR – Transfer of Welding Multimedia Software
WELDICTION–TR was a project covering the most well-known welding terms, in a multimedia dictionary format.
The project aimed at transferring the training tool that had been developed by a previous EWF project, adapting it to relevant national needs and languages (Turkish, Italian and Romanian) in order to ensure effective evaluation and validation.
This tool enabled the achievement of new linguistic skills in welding through supporting improvements in quality and innovation in vocational education and training systems, institutions and practices, in the acquisition and the use of knowledge, skills and qualifications to facilitate personal development, employability and participation in the European Labour Market.
Objectives
  Harmonization of welding terms;
Development of a user friendly training tool;
Evaluation and validation of the Tool;
Achievement of new linguistic skills in the welding field by both unemployed and employed persons;
Multimedia dictionary tool for consultancy and a support for vocational training courses, in the countries involved, with particular emphasis on access to terminology in the various mother tongues.
The project began on 1 December 2007 and lasted until 30 November 2009.
