This 2-year project, where EWF will act as project coordinator for DISTOOLWELD – Transfer of a Distance Learning Tool, started on November 2009 and will go on until October 2011. The consortium has had considerable experience in European projects and is made up of EWF (PT), SLV Duisburg (DE), ISQ (PT), IIS (IT), ASR (RO) and IS (Poland).

The participating organizations are the main welding institutes of the respective countries, being especially suited to address the needs of the different national welding communities. Furthermore, the EWF network of 29 members will be the main venue for a stolid and effective dissemination strategy.

The project’s main objective is to successfully transfer a distance learning tool originally developed by SLV, adapting it to the specific educational needs of the target countries (Romania, Italy, Portugal and Poland).
