Welding Coordinators started on December 2009 and will last until November 2011. The project will look into furthering the expansion of the application of the European welding coordinators certification system and lifelong education of personnel in welding production, in the national context of Slovenia.

Based on the Slovakian experience, it is expected to consolidate a lifelong learning certification system in Slovenia, integrating it in the harmonized network provided by EWF and bringing it closer to other European members of EWF.

The consortium includes the ANB from Slovenia, IZV as project coordinators and the ANB from Slovakia VUZ as well as EWF.

This will be a very important opportunity for the EWC certification to be further expanded into the Slovenian market, thereby improving the reach of the EWF network. It is expected that the project will lead to the first certificates to be emitted by 2011 with a further 250 to be emitted in the next 5 years.
